Along with the exhausting of the energy sources and the pressure to protect the environment, exploring and employing the solar energy have attracted more and more intention day by day. Simultaneously, the concept of the"building give birth to energy"proposed by the system of building integrated photo-voltage(BIPV) , which has been the main progressing direction of the photo-voltage technology for its special advantage.BIPV has been widely studied,however, most of the research focuses on the photovoltaic system of the photovoltaic board inclining deposited toward the right south.In resent years, various of buildings were built, and some buildings with circular envelop structure. If BIPV was adopted in these buildings, the PV arrays will be circular. But there are little studies on the circular arrays of photovoltaic generating power system. The study of this subject, resort to the photovoltaic generating power system adopted in Tianjin Energy Saving Center, is trying to investigate the differentia between the solar energy photovoltaic generating power system in the circular building and photovoltaic system in traditional building.The solar radiation in the Typical Climatic Database of China used in building is processed by program, and the average horizontal radiation month by month at different times was gained. Based on the data of the solar radiation at different times in the horizontal, we consulted many references concluding the different methods to calculate the solar radiation on inclined surface at different times and the different methods to calculate the optimum slope angle of photovoltaic arrays, and discussed the span to set the circular arrays. We especially calculated the solar radiation on inclined surface at different angles and different azimuth angles in some regions of Tianjin. Then we obtained the optimum slope angle of the photovoltaic board on the circular inclined surface. Due to the complex of the upper calculation, visual basic 6.0 was used to workout the calculative proceeding in this study, obtaining the well-pleasing result.In the end, we made an optimum design about the system, obtaining the most economical capability of the photovoltaic arrays and storage battery. We also made a compare of the power generation of the photovoltaic system with different ways of setting. Further more, the actual running of the photovoltaic system in the energy saving center was analyzed, according with the practical designing, and then we proposed some opinions and suggestions.
