The management of line losses is an important work for the power supply business enterprise. The weak aspects in the operation of the distribution network and the constitution of the energy losses can be found by calculating the line losses, so that the relevant reasonable measures can be adopted for reducing the line losses and advanced using power efficiency and society benefit. To reduce the distribution line losses can save energy source and reduce manufacture cost and can reduce capability investment of generating electricity and power supplying equipments etc.. Moreover, the calculation of line losses will also play an important role in the reactive power optimization of the distribution network, the technical revamping of the distribution network, the calculation of the costs for the electrical power market and establishing the effectual measures to reduce line losses and making the line losses rate investigates the index sign.This paper aims at analyzing the presenter searching status and the development trend for the energy losses of the power distribution network both at home and abroad. Several measures for calculating the energy losses, which is applied for the 6-10 kV power distribution network are detailed analyzed in the thesis. With the integrated comparison of their characteristics, suitable models and measures for calculating the line losses of the 6-10 kV power distribution network are proposed with the selected theoretical line losses for calculating the parameters.This paper states a distribution line losses calculation and analysis system It is built using graphical technology of geographic information system (GIS) and can be used as the graphical plate for distribution line losses system software, making the operation and the management of the devices easy and intuitionist, and the analysis of network topology more automatic and accurate. Can with convenient carry on belonging to sex search to various component in going together with the net diagram, exhaust the search etc. The system connected and the SCADA system establishmened conjunction through a database interface, can reduce the tedious handicraft importation data process, and can avoid the artificial importation mistake, lift high-efficiency. Make use of the data of the solid luck line of the system of SCADA, carry on the line losses calculation, the result to have the solid hour, manage to even have the actual meaning to the line losses.Aim at the effective demand of the distribution network management system, make use of the VB to develop a set of distribution line losses calculation and analysis system software. The system integrated into the GIS and SCADA systems, with better real-time performance, economy and practicality. The software makes use of the equipments parameter of the GIS and the movement parameter of the system of SCADA to complete the line losses analysis and calculation. The soft can analyze the factor of affect the line losses rate and decrease and analyze the software of calculating in real time.The system can used for the medium small scaled city 6-10 kV to go together with the charged barbed wire net theories line losses calculation. The result can be the power supply business enterprise line losses analysis, management of important theories according.
