In view of part channels' vessel traffic congestion situation at present in our country, this paper proposes research subject concerning on vessel traffic pass through capacity of T-type channel. Former studies aimed at probing into vessel traffic pass through capacity of one-way or two-way channel, little attention paid to T-type or similar channels' vessel traffic pass through capacity. Research on vessel traffic pass through capacity of T-type channel has great significance on channel construction, layout and vessel traffic safety.This paper mainly concerns about:(1) Summarizes current studies relate to vessel traffic pass through capacity of channel home and abroad: Vessel traffic pass through capacity of channel are reviewed, related research's background ,methods and benefits to this paper are introduced.(2)Analysis vessel pass through parameter hypothesis situation and the basic traffic pass through capacity situation of T-type channel: The elements which influence and restrict vessel pass through capacity such as width, water depth and radius of turn are considered. Vessel domain and traffic capacity are introduced. And then analyzes vessel pass through capacity of T-type channel step by step.(3)Establishes vessel traffic pass through capacity of T-type channel research model: Basic queuing theory content and general data process methods are introduced. Cross area just has capacity enough for one vessel pass through and vessel arrival rule model, service rule model are established. Lastly research on vessel traffic pass through capacity of T-type channel model is set up.(4)Computer language VC++6.0 is used to realize the vessel traffic pass through capacity of T-type channel model. Vessel parameters are processed. Standard vessel of T-type is proposed. The vessel parameters calculate model is fulfilled by computer language. The flow chart of vessel traffic pass through capacity of T-type channel is put forward and the results are gained. Research results of this paper enriches vessel traffic pass through capacity of channel contents, offers one kind of mentality traffic capacity research method which promotes the development of channel planning and extension scientifically and vessel pass through this kind of channel safely.
