The frame is the mineral product heavy dump truck skeleton. The entire vehicle spare part all directly or indirectly installs above it. The frame is playing the pivotal role in the entire vehicle security aspect. It not only must undertake installs the payload which transports in above each kind of equipment and withstanding. Moreover also must withstand in the travel because the path concave-convex creates complex impact load.This article studies the LT3242 heavy dump truck frame structure the design process. Comes the security and the rationality take the intensity and the rigidity as the criterion which the quantification chassis designs. Gives the improvement comment for the frame design and provides the theory basis for the optimized design. The research method is based on the elasticity theory of ANSYS method. Using the computation tool is ANSYS finite element analysis soft ware. The paper first introduced the limited unit method basic concept, the analysis flow and the elasticity theory elementary theory. And introduced the ANSYS finite element analysis soft ware procedure principle, the unique feature and the analysis flow. Then, carries on the analysis to the frame structure. Including: Front provides which using ANSYS software processes thefunction. Uses the three dimensional entity modelling to the entire frame structure. To the entire frame in the flat turn, up and under the hanging three kind of typical operating modes carries on the intensity and the rigidity analysis. Mainly is guarantes the shell of tank the security. According to result which calculates, to the shell of tank in thestres, the strain is bigger and a smaller spot gives the improvement comment, in order to enhances the frame the rationality. Finally, carries on the summary to the analysis result, the counterstress and a strain bigger spot makes the structure improvement, inorder to enhances the structure the reliability. Taking down the stress and a strain smaller spot, provides the gross data for later structure optimized design.This article in assigns under three kind of operating modes to the LT3242 mineral product heavy dump truck frame mechanics structure performance to carry on the finite element analysis. Finally obtained this frame through the massive computations in to assign under the load and the restraint stress and the strain distribution rule, and has produced the concrete improvement program, has provided the theory basis for the later structure optimization design.
