Abstract/Summary:
At present, the asphalt pavement in road construction mostly adopts the traditional material HMA (Hot Mix Asphalt). However the usage of HMA can causes environmental damage, excessive consumption of energy and shrink of living space for people.For these reasons, WMA (Warm Mix Asphalt) as a new energy-saving anenvironment- protecting product could force asphalt to be mixed and compacted in a comparatively low temperature by the means of reducing its viscosity with the help of certain techniques. Meanwhile, it could maintain its performance which dose not below that of HMA, and furthermore carried out the purpose of energy-saving and environment-protecting.This paper studied the WMA with the H1 and H2.The results of performance on asphalt binding and asphalt mixutres stated that H1 could reduce asphalt's high temperature viscosity and H2 could form foamy strcture under certain temperature.Both of the two materials could low the mix and compaction temperature of the asphalt mixture. Compared with the HMA, WMA with the H1 improved high-temperature performance and anti-rut capability but had a little effect on low-temperature performance , water stability and WMA with the H2 efforts lack of all performance.From social and economic benefit, the H1 is expensive and fit the construction of asphalt mixutres under high temperature and heavy traffic, and the H2 could reduce the cost and fit the construction under low temperature and high altitude locals.
