The Space Analysis Of Beihai Park

The Beihai Park has transformed successfully from imperial garden to Common Park. Except for history cause, the success can also be attributed to the excellent artistic creation of space and the ability of keep abreast with the age.From the view of inheriting tradition, the Beihai was one of the three western imperial gardens originally; it had experienced several dynasties changing from Jin dynasty and its methods of creating space is handed down from age to age. No matter how serious the"cultural paraclase"is, a man's feeling by instinct about space feeling can not change. From the view of modern design, there are some widespread problems such as monotonous space, ill-suited scale, the lack of elevation planning and so on. It is the main purpose for this thesis to find out the solution through analyzing the space of the Beihai Park. And nowadays, the research results about Chinese garden, which is including the Beihai Park and especially the parts of the classical gardens, is much focus on culture, history, zone, technique or general planning and so on. Many of essays give a rather sketchy treatment of the analysis of space,special relatively studies and system analysis about space are uncommon. Beihai imperial garden which adopting merits of both Jiang Nan gardens and temple gardens has entire landscape pattern and luxuriant space type. The space analysis about the Beihai Park is my cut-in point of the space studying.Therefore, this paper, research into space, is based on collection and marshals the related elements, using the method of comparative analysis, chart statistical induction, analysis about typical case and so on. In the process of analyze the interface, key element and traffic of space, the thesis has also carried out fundamental classification on space. Reached space type and organization way to guide design. Besides, this paper analyzing from concrete physics space to culture pattern space, and invoking modern scholar's theory about space pattern, also attempt to reveal the direct logic relationships between spirit space and physics space.
