The Design Of Beihai Reservoir Water Supply Project For Beihai New District In Binzhou

The sustained and rapid development of Beihai New District in Binzhou must have the strong support of water resources, however the groundwater resources and surface water resources is short. In the project area water supply mainly depends on the water from the Yellow River. the area is located in the downstream of Yellow River irrigation area Xiaokai river, affected by the unification of the Yellow River, the time of water diversion is short, and in recent years the ongoing drought of this area, low flow of the Yellow River, the quality and the days of water diversion became less, far from the demand of water use; and because the lack of water storage projects of this project area, makes the guarantee rate of water supply low. In view of this,the built of Beihai reservoir is much-needed, increasing water storage capacity and improving the guarantee rate of water supply, to meet the needs of national economy and social development.In this paper, on the basis of a comprehensive survey and analysis of the natural geography and water resources development and utilization of current situation and planning in the area of the project, according to the national laws, regulations and related policies, the design and study on Beihai reservoir water supply project in Beihai New District,Binzhou City were carried out, including the task, scale of the reservoir engineering; analysis the balance of water supply and demand; reservoir storage calculation; general layout of the project and main buildings; metal structure, and electrical, design; design of water works and pipe network; engineering management; construction organization design and so on.The completion of Beihai reservoir project will greatly promote the development of society and economy in the reservoir area, and will provide a good foundation conditions for industrial water use, the life of the residents and the sustainable development of the regional economic, at the same time, improve the ecological and living environment and local climate by the use of reservoir water surface.Meantime the combination with the landscape engineering construction can add view spots for the Beihai new area and improve the urban quality.
