As the important component of the urban road,signalized intersection plays a role in holding the balance for the road's connecting, its capacity decides or restricts the whole urban road system's capacity in a certain extent. The relevance of scholars at home and abroad has done a great deal of analysis about research of Signalized intersection capacity, also made a lot of very meaningful results. However, as the growing economic, the transportation and vehicles have a lot of changes than ever, some of the conclusions of research can not be fit the condition at present, so we need to study it and drawn some conclusions and methods at the basis of actuality.The paper make a analysis of signalized intersection capacity based on a large number of relevant data collected and research at home and abroad, and put forward a signalized intersection straight lane capacity calculation model, in order to provide advice for other capacity research and signal timing and facility planning.The first chapter introduces the background and significance of research and the status quo, then put forward the main contents and research framework.The second chapter expatiate the basic theory on signalized intersection capacity, including the concept and ideal conditions and the characteristics of vehicles, this chapter is the theoretical basis for the study.The third chapter explains methods of research target selection and the process of data research based on theory analysis of saturation flow rate and loss of startup.The fourth chapter is based on research data, using statistical analysis of the basic lane signalized intersection straight saturation flow rate and analysis of the main factors of signalized intersection straight lane, then put forward the correction model on saturation flow rate.The fifth chapter use statistical analysis to determine signalized intersection straight-lane startup delay combined of survey data, and on this basis the paper make signalized intersection is divided into two cases to analysis, then put forward the correction model on startup delay.The sixth chapter is introducing the signalized intersection straight lane capacity calculation model on the basis of pre-research. The seventh chapter is the summary of the paper, and puts forward research direction in the future.The focus of this paper is divided into three parts, one is study on saturation flow rate correction factor calibration based on research data obtained from traffic composition and width of lane, the second is study startup delay correction factor calibration based on research data obtained from traffic composition and width of lane and is divided into two cases, the third is to propose signalized intersection traffic straight lane capacity calculation model by pre-research.The paper contains two innovation points: the study make the process of startup delay divided into two case to analysis; startup delay is combined into the research of signalized intersection capacity study.
