The function of governor of hydraulic turbine plays a significant role in the quality of electricity and security in the operation of the hydraulic plants. Therefore, both the hydraulic plants and the manufacturers of the governor attach great importance to its functional test and evaluation. Because of an increasing demand of the testing equipment, the development of a new testing and simulation testing equipment is very important and has a promising future. Developing a more comprehensive and sophisticated operating simulation model and working out a stable algorithm have fundamental theoretical and engineering significance.This thesis is based on the research and experience in the field of hydraulic governing simulation. it develops and explores a non-linear model of hydraulic turbine governing system with comparatively simulation precision which is suitable for on-line testing. In addition, on the basis of considering the requirements of online simulation testing, it attempts to give a solution to this model by using a discrete analog simulation algorithm. The model has a relatively high simulation precision and the effects have been proved by experiments.The research of this thesis is summarized as follows:1) It describes the background, purpose and significance of this subject and explores present state and deficiencies of hydraulic simulation testing system and discusses the major technological points and strategies of establishing models in great detail.2) It builds the model of the dual controlled governor for hydraulic turbine, at the basis of a deep analysis of the governor.3) It discusses simulation model of the penstock system and the model of generator and electricity net. It modifies inertia time constant and makes a comparison.4) It researches the simulation approaches to the linear and non-linear models, analyzing the convergence property of the non-linear model simulation, comparing the effects of the non-linear models and gives a theoretic analysis of their similarity and differences.5) It employs discrete analog simulation algorithm, which is successfully be applied in the project.6)It introduces the functional design and applications of different working conditions, of the on-the-spot simulation testing, and also of a precision of simulation by using its statistics.
