Study On Resource Integration And Developing Scale In Liaoning Province Littoral Port Cluster

After the reforming and opening-up policy, cargo throughput of the littoral ports in Liaoning province has been increasing rapidly as well as the economic development of the northeastern area. The littoral ports have become the strong support and significant basic for the hinterland economy, and at this point great progress has been made in ports of Liaoning province. In the new era, competition among the ports is becoming more and more violent. Internal competition that ports of Liaoning province is being confronted with mainly come from Jinyi littoral port cluster headed by Tianjin port and Shandong littoral port cluster headed by Qingdao port; among external competition, ports of Japan and Korea is the main force, especially towards the northeast Asia shipping center. Facing the competition, Liaoning coastal port group is tending to slow down its developing speed, especially in the field of container hub port., Compared with the surrounding area, container hub throughput of Dalian port, which is the core port of this area, is relatively low. Ports of Liaoning coastal port group turn out to compete with each other , rather than comporting, which is Conducive to the improvement of port efficiency , but on the other hand , Intense internal competition weaken the ports' power when face the ports out of their group.Considering this, I did research about the resource integration of Liaoning hub port cluster. Through researching the present developing situation of the hinterland and developing situation of Liaoning littoral port cluster, I studied the outside and inside developing environment, besides advantage and disadvantage of Liaoning coastal port group,in order to overcome the status of the ports on their own, there was a need for resources integration. By applying the linear regression, gray prediction and neural network, I made forecast about the throughput of Liaoning littoral port cluster. I also analyzed the necessity of integrating the resource of littoral port and integrating resources can bring economic benefits to littoral port by using the game theory, and finally pointed out the model and suggestions resource integration of the liaoning littoral port cluster.
