Pipe roof method is widely used in forpoling methods when tunnels are excavated in areas of week or difficult ground. But there is no special facility provided presently at home. In most tunnels, substitute equipment is used, which is insecurity and inefficient. Yet the facility imported is very expensive. Against this background, this paper has begun the study on Forpoling Rig.Based on analysis of operating conditions with forpoling rig in this paper, Put forward three programs of Drilling and Driving hydraulic drive systems, and a program is put forward to "independent swiveling system and impelling system, driving system and the swiveling share the same source" by comparisons, followed by the selection and checking of main components, and carry out calculated of kinematics and dynamics to hydraulic drive system of forpoling rig. Adynamic simulation of the hydraulic drive system is carried out based on AMESim to get the results of the working properties of the machinery under load conditions. The simulation results indicate that the hydraulic drive system of forpoling rig able to meet the Drilling and Driving, and confirm that the above program is feasible.
