The Research On Applications Of Value Engineering In Construction Project Management Of Hydraulic And Hydroelectric Engineerings

At present, there are many drawbacks in our construction project management of hydraulic and hydroelectric such as low level of project management, lack of value consciousness and ababilities to create new values and absence of corresponding policies to encourage value innovation. Those drawbacks seriously constrained the profitability of the hydraulic and hydroelectric project and development of the hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering enterprises. Therefore, it will generate an important positive influence on hydraulic and hydroelectric projects by applying value engineering in those projects. The benifits include raising of the hydraulic and hydroelectric projects value, improvement of projects management, encouraging of classical products value innovation, generation of enterprises' kernel compretation and formation of sustiable, rapid development of hydraulic and hydroelectric enterprises.This paper points out the importance and greate realistic benefits of applying value engineering in in the water conservancy and hydropower construction project management and demonstrate necessarity of this research based on the primary problems about project management processes of water conservancy and hydropower construction enterprise. Meanwhile, the origin, development and trend of value engineering application in water conservancy construction project was introduced. Those successful application provided theoretical reference and enlightenment to our similar projects. Through the value engineering application in the construction organization design, construction management, engineering material selection, engineering machinery and equipment management which is the process of construction project management, this paper expounds the practical application and engineering application value of great economic benefits and social benefits, introducing the procedures and methods in hydropower construction project management activities. Meanwhile, we point out some potential research direction in application value engineering.
