Analysis And Investigation On The Security Problem Of Xiangjiang Water Resources

Water is the foundation for human survival. With the development of economy in our courty, the safety issue of water resources has aroused the general attention of government and all parts in the society. The Xiangjiang River, so-called mother river by people in Hunan province, is the longest river in Hunan province and its drainage area is also the biggest one,which is nearly about 8.53×10~4 Km~2 It covers 20 percent of the whole area, 30 percent of gross population, and 40 percent of the GDP Hunan province. Along with the development of economy, daily life, and society development, the consumptions of water resource in Xiangjiang River is increasing on the other hand a majority of production waste and sanitary waste was discharged directly into Xiangjiang River. In addition, the exploitation of mine resources around the water shed, illegal sand excavation in the river, arbitrary dumpage ,even illegal gold excavation still exist in somewhere, which aggravated the pollution of Xiangjiang River. In order to guarantee the security of water resource in Xiangjiang , this paper discussed the influences of mine resources exploitation around the water shed, the enlargement of the city circle and the industry development near the River on the security of water resource. The present status and problems of water resource in Qingzhou, Hengyang, Xiangtan, Zhuzhou and Changsha are investvgateas, and the related possible reasons for the secrcanty of water resuwces in Xiangjiang are discussed. In order to analyze and evaluate the water quality of Xiangjiang River, the evaluating parameters individual method is employed in this study. An alert system for water resource in Xiangjiang River is established by the alert method of system dynamics. To insure the security of water resource in Xiangjiang River, the author brought some feasible suggestions on the safety issue of Xiangjiang water resource.
