| As the rapid development of construction and operation of the Passenger Dedicated Line (PDL), the scales of passengers'transportation mode choices and trip activities space become larger than the past. An important topic concerned with how to attract more passengers between a given service distance within the advantage of high quality service level of PDL is worth to state. The optimization and adjustment of the operation plan for PDL is a key issue for advancing level of service and transportation structure. Standing on this issue, influence analysis of operation plan adjustments on passenger demand at the PDL is researched in this thesis. The main work includes the following interrelated parts:1. New features of passenger demand of PDL are summaried:after comparing differences between economic and technical characteristics of transportation modes, analyzing the mechanism of passenger demand generation, and that combining with the current situation of passenger volume, the features of passenger demand of PDL in China are summarized.2. The characteristics of passenger transportation modes are analyzed. Transportation modes choice utility function is set, and based on it, mode split share of each passenger transportation mode is calculated with Nested Logit model, taking Wuhan-Guangzhou PDL as a concrete case. Combining with the adjustment, the result of transfer passenger demand volume is given.3. The basic factors influencing the transfer passenger demand of PDL are analyzed and the key ones are pointed out by the help of domestic and foreign researches. Further more, the relationships between these factors are analyzed and the degrees of the passenger volume fluctuation versus these factors are quantified, as well as the reasons which cause these fluctuation.4. Five quantitative analysis methods are used to study the influences of travel utilities on the induced passenger demand after the adjustment of PDL's operation plan. The conclusion that there are not much influences on the induced passenger demand of the total travel utilities changes, which are resulted from adjustments of key operation plan factors on after the adjustment of PDL's operation plan. |
