Research Of Road Conditions For Affecting Highway Traffic Safety

In recent years, with the fast development of highway, the rate of traffic accident accounting on highway has increased day by day in our country. The accidents bring large loss to our country and people. So it is necessary to find out reasons for the highway traffic accident in order to decrease traffic accident or traffic accident harm degree.The highway traffic system is made of human, vehicle, route and environments. The traffic safety has a consanuguineous correlation with the four fctors. As a base undertaker of traffic, the road factor on traffic safety is not ignored. Therefor it is necessary to study high traffic safety in depth from road conditions.In this paper, the reasons for the highway traffic accident is analyzed from the traffic engineering viewpoint, therewith the importance of road conditions is made sure. In addition, the potential impact of road conditions on road traffic safety is expatiated. Light on abroad research findings, the impact of road conditions on road traffic safety was analyzed. According to road transport system eight influeneing factors including line, roadbed, road, bridge, tunneland road intersections, the type of road, road traffic engineering are taken into account. In the base of it, the evaluation index system is designed from the eight technieal levels and the indexes are evaluated by the way of improved Analytic Hierarchy Proeess. Besides, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is utilized to evaluate it to make the system applicable. At last, the evaluation index system is validated according to the statisties of freeway of NanFang by ministry of communication, and the evaluation results correspond with the corporation's real situation, which illustrates that the design of evaluation system is reasonable. Based on the study conclusion, sufficient attention is paid to traffic safety in china'current and future road design with some reference values.
