The structure and operation mechanism of straddle-type monorail vehicle are completely different from those of the steel wheel vehicles. So it is of great significance to research the dynamical performance. The paper establishes multi degree of freedom simulated model based on the multi-body dynamics theory. To analysis every dynamical performance of monorail vehicle, the researching content and conclusions as follows:â—‹1 After analysis the structural features of monorail vehicles, a single vehicle model is built by multi dynamics software. Then the whole monorail vehicle is built after validating the validity of the single vehicle.â—‹2 The paper make the vehicle through the track of small radius with normal speed. After that the force situation of every element is obtained. The steering performance and running stability of the vehicle are analyzed. The single one and the whole monorail vehicle are compared at the same time. The results indicate that the monorail is of nicer curve negotiation performance and stability.â—‹3 Many types of track are built. The vehicle is simulated under different speed and radius. Then the radial force of the steering wheel and stabilizing wheel are got. and the function are fitted.â—‹4 The road irregularities are built. The ride quality is obtained by calculating the acceleration RMS of the mass center of the vehicle through program. Comparing the test results, they both indicate that the monorail vehicle is of good stability and ride quality.â—‹5 The variable such as stiffness and damp of air-spring and absorber are optimized with stability as constrains and ride quality as aim. The optimization can improve the dynamics performance of monorail vehicles.
