With the rapid development and application of automatic technology in industrial fields, it is developed quickly in automatic monitoring of ship distribution system. At preset, the monitoring method and management level of ship power distribution grid in China fell relatively behind other developed countries. For operation and management of distribution system, the majority of ships adopt simulating screen in central control room, and this method exists many shortages such as slowly data acquisition, inaccurate data collection, large discreteness along time and low accuracy of data. It could not realize the central monitoring management in real-time to power parameter and malfunction. Hower, the ship distribution monitoring system can resolve the problem. Through the communication grids, it can realize centralized monitoring of the distribution grid; it can be in control at any time for the main information of the power distribution and the insulation; it can also ensure the distribution grid running safety and reliability.The dissertation presents a low-cost, high-performance program about a ship distribution monitoring system based on CAN-bus. It can make the measurement and analysis of date automated that can reduce human error. The system can monitor three-phase voltage, current, frequency, power and other basic parameters of the distribution grid in real-time, so can the exchange of power grid insulation condition. If the distribution system fails, the distribution monitoring system can judgment and alarm the malfunction of the subcircuits and the malfunction causes rapidly and precisely.According to the practical requirements, the distribution monitoring system consists of hardware and software components. The hardware is the foundation and core to the monitoring system, mainly by the field power monitoring units, the field insulation monitoring units and the PC units. The field power monitoring units with DSP as the CPU, realize the functions of the front-end data processing. By the monitoring of the leakage current, the on-line 380V grid insulation conditions and the off-line insulation resistance can be monitoring in real-time. Through the CAN bus, the field power monitoring units and the field insulation monitoring units constitute real-time monitoring system with the PC units. The software system is the key to the monitoring systems, using the virtual instrument software Lab VIEW. In accordance with the idea of universal modular, according to the various parts of the system function, the system is divided into the data display module, the alarm module, the CAN communication module, the database module, the record module the password module. With this distribution monitoring system, It can monitor the operation condition and the parameters in real-time. When the power distribution equipment failure, the monitoring system can automatically audible alarm, and save alerts.The test proved that the accuracy and real time of the ship distribution monitoring system have achieved good results, and the functional and extensible also meet the needs of the distribution monitoring system.
