With the energy crisis and worsing of environment pollution taken into consideration, comprehensive utilization of renewable energy has attracted a lot of attention. Solar energy and wind energy are two kinds of widely used renewable energy in the current availability renewable energies. Solar energy and wind energy have complementary characteristics both in resource condition and technical application. Wind & solar complementary electricity-generating system thinking over there complementary characteristics is an economic and reasonable way of power supply. So research on wind solar hybrid Power system has important theoretical signification and utility value. The main contents are summarized as below:The structure characteristics and operation principle of wind solar hybrid power system are analyzed. Work characteristics of the key components and their important functions playing in system are expatiated in detail. It makes a theoretical foundation for proposing control strategies and design of hybrid power system.Secondly, wind energy resource assessment analysis methods have been investigated. And the programs of each analysis methods are given in this paper. By comparing, this paper proposes a wind energy resource assessment analysis method applying to Qinghai-Xizang Plateau Region. This study is the basic of testing system design, which influences directly the optimal design of the wind solar hybrid system.Then the control strategies of wind turbine, solar cells and battery charging are analyzed. And this paper mainly researches the wind energy and the solar energy maximum power point tracking strategies. A novel wind source MPPT control strategy based on grey relation analysis is proposed in this paper. And base on MATLAB/SIMULINK, several studies are performed to test its operator under different wind conditions. The results of the simulation show that the system can track the maximum power points effectively by using this method. The models of solar PV system are also built based on MATALB/SIMULINK. The simulation results indicate that Perturb & observe Algorithm is also an effective method to achieve the maximum power point tracking with simple algorithm. This paper also proposes a solar MPPT controller design method using simple and inexpensive analog circuitry. Hard ware circuit of wind solar hybrid power system is designed Preliminarily including sampling and signal conditioning circuit, driver circuit, delay circuit, triangular wave generating circuit, etc. The design circuits are simulated using MULTISIM10, and validated the feasibility of the design circuit.Finally, the collected data of wind and solar energy resource and the power consumption of typical user of the selected area are analyzed, and the reasonable matching of wind turbine, solar generating system and battery is achieved under the precondition of guaranteed power consumption.
