With the large-scale construction of inter-city railway and the Passenger Dedicated Line (PDL), the rapid development of urban mass transit (UMT), railway and UMT will play an increasingly important role in passenger transport in China. The transfer of good traffic convergence between them means a great deal to the construction of metropolitan integrated passenger transport system, improving their share in the city's passenger transportation, saving of passenger travel time.This paper summarizes the development and research of the railway passenger station's passenger collecting and distributing transfer system. It elaborates the relationship between the railway passenger station's two main transport function-passenger distribution and transfer, analyzes the patterns that inter-city railway, PDL and UMT are introduced into railway passenger station, briefs knowledge on the passenger transfer in railway station, makes a comparison between railway and UMT, makes an analysis on the steps of UMT and railway's transfer interface design.The thesis gives a prediction of the peak passenger flow transferring from railway to UMT a few decades later. At first it calculates the maximum of passenger flow arriving by train during rush hour by constraint of the capacity of receiving and departure track of the railway passenger station. And then the article carries out an in-depth theoretical research on applying the multinomial nominal Logit model to forecast UMT transfer share after comparing transfer optional probabilistic prediction models. On the basis of prediction of the peak passenger traffic, the design of spatial arrangement, facilities allocation, passenger guidance system and operation management of transfer and join between railway and UMT is carried out.Finally, the paper applies MNL mode in line with the characteristic of the Nanchang Railway Passenger Station (NRPS) predicting the peak passenger flow transferring from rail to UMT a few decades later, and then the analysis and design of transfer interface between NRPS and Metro Line 2 NRPS Station is exerted.
