Semi-flexible pavement with asphalt-rubber is generally described as a new composition pavement, which is filled with Portland cement grout in open-graded matrix asphalt-rubber mixture. A great deal of research had been done and taken into the application in domestic and overseas. But the research about the construction methods and the machine collocation of semi-flexible pavement is still in the start stage in our country, especially the application of the Semi-flexible pavement with asphalt-rubber in road hasn't got well researched and generalized. Semi-flexible pavement with asphalt-rubber behaves with more rigidity than asphalt pavement and more flexibility than cement pavement. It has both virtues of normal asphalt pavement and cement pavement, but it avoids the defects of them. So, it has practical meaning and development prospects to study its application technology.On the basis of present study in domestic and overseas, and according to the result of the supporting project, some regulations are made about the match for matrix asphalt-rubber mixture and cement mortar as well as about the materials used in the semi-flexible pavement. Referring to the construction methods of OGFC, some analysis and conclusions are made about the construction methods of matrix asphalt mixture. Then three construction methods were made:Manpower construction; Factory construction and Slurry seal coat machine construction. First of all, according to the supporting project, some elaborate introduction was made about the construction methods of cement mortar presently, and mentions its disadvantages:low efficiency, low precision and simple machinery.What's more, on the basis of the construction methods, it does some studies about the construction norm and technological economy. The reference of semi-flexible pavement construction norm and three construction methods about cement mortar are put forward, as well as the comparison of the life cycle cost between the two structures of semi-flexible pavement with asphalt-rubber and the normal asphalt concrete on Portland concrete slab. Then, the advantage on technological economy is apparent for semi-flexible pavement with asphalt-rubber.This paper was subsidize by the western transportation construction projects "The development and application study on high-performance composite semi-flexible pavement and base coat".
