With the development of social economy, an enterprise’s internal and externalenvironment is becoming more and more complicated; the market competition is increasinglyfierce. At the same time, customer demands for more diversified products, so how to bestmeet the customer demand has become the key of product design. Quality FunctionDeployment (QFD) is a systematic approach that transfers the voice of customers into thedesigning,manufacturing and production process of products and services. In the systemproduct development, QFD can guarantee customer demands, make the concept of qualitythroughout the design process and the design process do not deviate from customer demands,then meeting the objective market demands.This paper introduces the QFD’s concept, principle, application time and the structure ofhouse of quality(HOQ), then it selects the gate valve products as the research object,putsQFD technology into its development and quality improvement. In the constriction of productplanning HOQ, first confirm the autocorrelation matrix of the technical features and themutual matrix of customer demand and technical feature, then calculate the importance andtarget of the technical features, so as to determine the customer demands planning matrix,then based on it to construct the product planning HOQ.In the customer satisfaction appraisalof the gate valve products, first use the affinity figure to get the hierarchical structure of thegate valve customer needs, then use analytic hierarchy process(AHP) to get the weight ofcustomer needs, and then using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate customersatisfaction, so it can get the conclusion that "the impact resistance" is the most need toimprove place. Through establish the key parts characteristics target and the important degree,then setting up parts planning HOQ. Finally, with the material tenacity for input and with thesteel gate’s technical process for output to establish process planning HOQ, and use theoptimization technique of response surface method to optimization the technical process, andthen obtain the optimal solution.This subject puts the QFD technology into the design and manufacture of valve products,and has a try to how to use the response surface method into processing technologyoptimization, it provide a good direction to this kind of enterprise how to use QFD technologyinto the new product development and the existing products quality improvements...
