The structure of Linear switched reluctance motor(LSRM) is similar to rotary switched reluctance motor (SRM) and linear stepper motors. LSRM is a special kind of linear motion motor. Compared with rotary switched reluctance motors, it is equivalent to open the stator and rotor of rotary switched reluctance motors along the circumferential direction.the stator is corresponding to the primary of LSRM and the rotor is corresponding to the secondary . Secondary side neither has windings nor permanent magnet and the primary side has only the concentrated winding, which gives a simple structure ,easy production and maintenance .And the drive approach has the feature of fault-tolerant.This article describes the basic structure of LSRM , makes a detailed analysis of basic characteristics and electromagnetic relations and establishes mathematical model; According to the demand of the system, the article sums up the LSRM design rules through the design method of rotary switched reluctance. The static and dynamic characteristics of linear switched reluctance motor are obtained by way of finite element analysis software ,by which the article researches the effect of structure of the motor parameters on the electromagnetic properties and compares the results between anyasis calculation and finite element analysis so as to prove reasonable design method.For the hardware circuits, this paper chooses the TMS320F2407 specifically applying for motor control as a core control chip. Power converters, controllers and auxiliary circuits are obtained in the paper.According to the requirements of this topic, the structure of asymmetrical half-bridge is selected as the power converter through the analysis of the common topology of power converter circuit.And the selection of components of the power converter and the drive circuit has analyzed in detail.
