With the development of unattended substation, design of centralized control station automation system has gradually formed an operation management pattern of power grids, which has been growing emphasis on the promotion and application of electricity enterprise. This paper analyzes some characteristics of centralized control station automation system, and gives specific design and implementation of the Fannan substation centralized control station automation system through the overall structure design study of centralized control station automation system. The main thesis work includes:1. The overall structural design of centralized control station automation system, overall planning, communications planning, master planning system of the system;2. The centralized control center SCADA, centralized voltage reactive power control, scheduling management design;3. Application interface design of the communication network, as well as distribution automation and automated scheduling, MIS systems combined with the actual situations at Fannan substation.In accordance with the design program, centralized control station automation system at Fannan substation has been built and put into the production operation, made significant results.
