Sugar cane is a kind of central economic crop in the south of China. The automation of the sugarcane production is crucial for the growth of the sugarcane. The sugarcane harvester is one of the important approaches to automate the produce of the sugarcane. It is inevitable direction to use hydraulic transmission in the harvester. In this mean, it is significant to study a economical hydraulic and control system.Based on the abroad and domestic searching actuality, the hydraulic transmission system is design according to the structure and working characteristic of the sugarcane harvester. It is another emphasis to study the dynamic character of the hydraulic system. The main parameters of the hydraulic system were analyzed and the power consumption of the sugarcane harvester was confirmed through the dynamic simulation by Matlab software. The hydraulic component was optimized based on the parameters achieved by simulation.Validate the conclusion of the simulation by the experiment and take the double cutter single factor experiment as an example to analyze the relation between the torque and the rotation speed, obliquity of the cutter, working velocity. At the same time, choose the method of the timing loop in the hydraulic system aimed at improving the quality of the cutting.In conclusion, the use of the hydraulic technique is propitious to improve the disadvantage of the transmission, exert the advantage of the hydraulic transmission and make the character of the sugarcane harvester stand out.
