Fruits grading machine is the leading work one after fruits picked and the grading is the key procedure, its work performances have a crucial impact on the fruit grading rate. The paper presents the experiment research of factors affecting the fruit grading rate to find their main factors in order to improve the effect of fruit grading, simultaneously, studies the grading mechanism of the homologous spherical Orange to choose preferable working parameters for providing the structure design of fruit grading machine with some theoretical basis.First, utilizing 5BF-3-sized fruit grading machine for test equipment, and adapting the general rotatable compositive quaternion-factor quadratic regression design method, the structure and work parameters affecting the fruit-grading rate are studied experimentally by physical model; and the mathematical regression equation model between all kinds of experimental factors and the fruit-grading rate are established by means of statistical analysis and test data.
