Biological effect of PP333 on Pfaffia paniculata was studied byspraying PP333, and its theoretical basis were provided for chemicalregulation and application of PP333 on Pfaffia paniculata. This researchwas designed with five treatments:①spraying 200 mg·L-1 PP333 (A),②spraying 250 mg·L-1 PP333 (B),③spraying 300 mg·L-1 PP333 (C),④spraying 350 mg·L-1 PP333 (D),and⑤spraying H2O on leaf(CK).Agronomic, photosynthetic, physiological and resistant properties aswell as yield and quality were studied. The results were as following:1 In agronomic characters: The effects of PP333 on plant height androot length and so on was different. The effect of PP333 on the plant height,the stem diameter, the growth speed, the root diameter and lodgingresistance of Pfaffia paniculata were obvious. Of all treatments, B and Cwere excellent, D worst; Root amount of D was most, yet CK was least;PP333 had no effect on pitch number and the branching number in Pfaffiapaniculata.2. In photosynthetic character: Effects of PP333 on photosyntheticindex of Pfaffia paniculata were obvious, in these index, effect on photosynthesis rate was as well as effect on transpiration rate andstomatal conductance, there were same sequence: C≈B>A≈CK>D, C and B had accelerate efficient significantly, the medium were A andCK, yet D was worst.3. In physiological character: Chlorophyll content of every treatmentwere different from others obviously, B and C were higher, yet A and CKwere medium, and D was the lowest probably due to excessive PP333; NRAactivity of every treatment were different after regulation. At the beginningof regulation, NRA activity of CK was highest and its growth was fastesttoo, yet D was lowest while B and C were appropriate; after medium time,NRA activity ranking sequences of every treatment were as following: D>C≈B>A≈CK, NRA activity of Pfaffia paniculata get higher as soon asPP333 density sprayed on its leaf was more. The growth speed of everyregnlation treatment was higher than that of CK, but the growth of thisperiod did not affect the yield significantly.4. In resistant characters: The indexes of stress resistant, consisting ofSOD activity, POD activity, CAT activity, MDA content, indicated that Band C were high resistant, A and CK were the medium, yet D was lowest.5. In yield and quality: The indexes of yield and quality were mostimportant in this study.The chemical regulation by PP333 affected rootclassification of Pfaffia paniculata significantly, B and C were mostexcellent,A and Ck were the medium, yet D was worst; ABS of Saponin of every treatment did not differ from the others obviously, the sequence oftheir ABS of Saponin was as following: C≈B>D>CK≈A; Thesequence of yield for every treatment was as following: C≈B>A≈CK>D, In compairation with yield of CK, C and B were most obvious foraccelating 16.8% and 15.6%,and A was not, yet D worst; The variation ofeconomical index and root/stem rate were similar to that of yield.In a word, PP333 could affect growth and activity content of Pfaffiapaniculata, B and C were most excellent, D was worst.
