Developing small-scale wheeled sugarcane harvester used in the south of china has great significance to improve the mechanization application of agriculture and enhance our country's competition in the world, and has the good developing opportunity and the potential market. Based on the research ahead, this paper does research and summary concluding in every component's principle and comprehensive project of sugarcane harvester, and design and analysis of the whole frame, using virtual prototype technology, setting up 3D model and running the kinematics and dynamics simulation basing on virtual prototyping technology, in order to achieve the valuable datum. These works have considerable significance to develop mini-type harvester. This thesis includes hereinafter work:1. Based on the research ahead, Carries out the comprehensive summary and research in the functions and whole of the sugarcane harvester.2. Considered the situation of sugarcane-end cutting mechanism at front, designs and analyzes the sugarcane flowing simulation with the flexible sugarcane's model, and get the optimize overall layout of the sugarcane harvester, then guarantee the reasonability of the every parts and the smoothness of the sugarcane flowing. It improves the authenticity of virtual research of the sugarcane flowing in sugarcane harvester.3. analyzes the passing capability of the sugarcane harvester, and verifies the virtual prototype model has good drive performance, good control stability and good passing capability by using ADAMS.4. designs the whole frame of the sugarcane harvester, creates the details 3D model, and carries optimization design through analysis of the intensity and vibration the whole frame. Creates the model with Pro/E, and carries out normal modes analysis and force vibration analysis to the whole frame with ANSYS and ADAMS, then determines the actuator frequency of dynamic analysis, make the cutter device module to avoid the actuator frequency and got good dynamic characteristic. Finally these researches lay a very good foundation in order to perfect the small-scale sugarcane reaping machine in further.
