Floating system, which based putting the seedlings pot on the nutritional liquidto control mineral nutrition of nutritional liquid, temperature and humidity conditionof fostering seedling were controlled well, has been received completely as aabsolutely new way. There is not new breakthrough in the floating system since 1990s,although a lot of research and experimental were carried on the floating system.There have many shortages on the presently medium formula, as follows: firstly,the production cost was beyond farmers. Secondly, the tobacco seedling of floatingsystem would stay growing for some time when they were transplanted. Lastly,lockage of interior material of tobacco leaf and thin of the middle and bottom tobaccocome form grow crazily in the stage of resettling growth.To look for better floating system medium formula, the raw substitute materialand the technique of improving tobacco growing after transplanting. In this paper,experiments of the floating system medium formula, stacking technique and theoptimal time of transplanting were contacted. The results were as follows:1. The medium quality is a key factor of floating system. The key point ofchoosing and disposing medium lied on whether it can provide tobacco seedling withadequate water and nutrition. For the present, peat is the most important raw materialof medium. But the peat can not recycle, what's more, it only distribute the minorityregion in our country. Consequently, it was necessary to exploit the local naturalresource to replace the peat. The analysis of the medium formula of floating systemshowed that exploiting the local natural resource to replace the peat is feasible. So, itis greatly reducing the production cost of Reproduce Company.2. The results of stacking technique of floating system indicated that the mostoptimal stacking time is 7 days; the most proper stacking height is 10 pots; and thebest stacking frequency is 2 days.3. The transplanting time (CK, 15th March) of Liuyang was regarded ascomparison in the optimal time of transplanting experiment. The results displayed thatsetting forth the proper transplanting time were in favor of tobacco agronomy trait;were good to improve tobacco quality and quantity; and made for promoting highquality tobacco leaf ratio and tobacco leaf production value.
