Flue-cured tobacco float seedling is the main breeding methods of the leaf tobacco production, but in the process of flue-cured tobacco seedling, every year consumes huge amounts of peat, caused the transition of peat mining. In order to protect the ecological environment, save nursery costs and achieve sustainable development in tobacco float seedling, this experiment mainly study the effect of sand, stone powder and steam pressure blasting of tobacco stems alternative peat medium on tobacco seedlings, the results are as follows:1. Effects of sand or stone powder substituted medium on the quality of tobacco seedling:The sand of Luzhou,the stone powder of Yibin the sand of Panzhihua, the sand of Liangshan and medium was mixing with 1:3,1:1,3:1 respectively, determination of physical and chemical properties of each treatments, research the effect of the medium of different treatments on seedling sprouting rate and seedling rate, growth stage, agronomic traits, physiological and biochemical indicators and the impact of pests and diseases and comparative analysis the cost of each treatment compare with control. The results showed that:with the increase in the proportion of sand or stone powder, the density and pH of medium are increased, but the total porosity, conductivity and organic matter content of the medium are reducing; the germination rate of each treatment and control is more than 90%, seedling rate is between 75% to 85%, and there were no significant differences compare with the control; seedbed period of each treatment and control tobacco seedlings are between 61 to 64 days; when the tobacco seedlings grow up, the stem height, stem girth, the number of leaves, the number of lateral roots, root activity, peroxides (POD) activity, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and chlorophyll content of each treatments is superior to control or there was no significant difference between the control and each treatment and control of tobacco seedlings were not infected with the diseases. Overall, in addition to T3(75% sand of Luzhou+25% medium), T6(75% stone powder of Yibin+25% medium), T8(50% sand of Panzhihua+50% medium),T9(75% sand of Panzhihua+25% medium),T12(75% sand of Liangshan+25% medium), there are some differences in fresh and dry weight of aboveground or underground parts compare with the control, the rest of the treatments were no significant differences between the control or better than the control which T7 (25% sand of Panzhihua+ 75% medium)have the best performance. When mix up the sand or stone powder with medium in ratio of 1:3,1:1,3:1, the cost savings in per hectare, respectively, is 44.12 yuan,88.27 yuan and 132.41 yuan.2. Effects of the steam pressure blasting of tobacco stems substituted medium on the quality of tobacco seedling:This experiment mainly study that the Effects of the steam pressure blasting of tobacco stems substituted medium on the quality of flue-cured tobacco floating seedling of tobacco seedling, principal survey of tobacco seedlings germination rate and seeding rate, growth stage, measured the main agronomic traits, part of the physiological and biochemical indexes, the impact of pests and diseases, at the time of tobacco seedling. The results showed that:there is no obvious effect on germination rate, seedling rate and tobacco seedlings growth stage when steam pressure blasting of tobacco stems substituted medium; the tobacco stem girth, primary lateral root, two lateral root, dry and fresh weight of aboveground part, dry and fresh weight of underground part all have no significant difference; and the chlorophyll content of tobacco seedlings, root activity, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and peroxides (POD) activity was also no significant difference; but the seedling rate of treatments which steam pressure blasting of tobacco stems substituted medium is higher than matrix treatments, each treatment and control of tobacco seedlings were not infected with the diseases.; and tobacco stem height, dry weight of aboveground part is also better than that of control; steam pressure blasting of tobacco stems substituted medium can significantly reduce the dosage of the medium.
