"The straight-advance self-propelled micro irrigator with double rotation arm" is a new type irrigator recently developed which collects principal advantages of various domestic and foreign watering machines and has a higher degree of automation. This irrigator designs for the farmland and pasture arid where rain is few, compared with other watering machines, has obviously work features of energy conservation, water-saving and strong adaptability, which has the important meaning to promote sustainable development and to economic development of the drought or half arid areas.During the course of development, making commutator of roller (capstan) system realize invert automatically is an essential technical question. To ensure the success rate for reversing, this paper analyzes and designs from two aspects. Firstly, compared with other control system and considering the wild environment, this article determinates the method that apply programmable logic controller (PLC) to achieve commutator automatic exchange. Secondly, through analysis of test data and installation debugging, using the scheme for changing round of freedom to reduce the forces on pipes and to ensure sprinkler will be in accordance with the process of spray, so that water pipes in the roller can rank pipe smoothly and orderly.
