Researching on the small-scale sugarcane harvester has not only pratical meaning to the south of china where sugarcanes are abundant ,but also has great meaning for promoting the mechanization in sugarcane harvesting as to enhance our country's competition in the world. The sugarcane leaves cleaner and collecting device are two of the most important parts of the small-scale sugarcane harvester. To improve their structure and function, this thesis puts forward new designs and makes simulation analysis and experiment research on them.Study on leaves cleaner includes hereinafter work :(1)By studing working mechanism of the leaves cleaner, various factors that affect the leaves cleaning are analyzed in the process of sugarcane cleaning. And then, combining with this analysis and the innovation design concept ,a new design aiming to relieve the peel-scratch with cleaning leaf elements installed in some deflecting angle and some helix angle is created.(2)Setting up four 3D Pro/E models of the leaves cleaner ,two new designs with cleaning leaf elements installed in 15°deflecting angle and 60°, 75°helix angles respectively, two installed without deflecting angle and in 60°, 75°helix angles respectively as well. Thereafter, making kinematics and dynamics simulations in ADAMS by using visual prototype technology. To make the simulation more factual, the sugarcane cleaning leaf element were converted into flexible bodies. By comparing and analyzing the kinematics and dynamics characters of the new design and the old ones, it preliminary shows that the goal of relieving the peel-scratch is achieved in the new one according to the simulation analysis. Abundent of other analysis data is achieved as well in this simulation at the same time.(3)Pysical comparison experiments were carried out in accordance with the visual simulation analysis. Experimental platforms were established those four leaves cleaner rollers which cleaning leaf elements installed repectively in 60°, 75°helix angle and 0°,15°deflecting angle. The experimental results indicated that the improved design that cleaning elements installing with a 15°deflection amounting angle can notably relieve sugarcane peel scratch while still maintaining low remanent leaves rate of less than 1.20%. At the same time, accompanied experiments as the power consuming and the maxmum production capability experiment provide some reasonable advise and conclusion on the design parameters as well.Study on collecting device includes hereinafter work :(1)Collect previous research documents, study the design requirement and restriction of collecting device and valuate all these designs,then put forward new design that meeting the requirement and improving its character.(2)Setting up 3D Pro/E model and running the kinematics and dynamics simulation on two primative processes of the collecting device——collecting and uninstalling process basing on virtual prototyping technology,and results of which verifing the feasibility and rationality of the design of this collecting device.
