To find the physiological causes of flower and fruit drop,'Chanzhihong',' Jinxidahongxing',' Erzhuanzi',' Fayi ',' Shajinhong' five apricot varieties were used as materials in this experiment,thereby,providing theory foundation for the regulation and control of apricot flowering and fruiting.This study was done by systematically investigating the regulars of blossom and fruit-setting of different shoots in different apricot varieties,and by measuring the nutritional contents.Furthermore,by studying different apricot mineral nutrient content of the leaves in the cycle of year,the proper time of sample leaf in the south of Liaoning was proposed, and the best fertilizing programs was identified.The main findings were as follows:1.Hermaphrodite flower rates of five apricot varieties exhibited obvious differences,the order of its Hermaphrodite flower rate was 'Chanzhihong'(75.26%),' Fayi'(60.45%),' Jinxidahongxing'(50.30%),' Shajinhong'(28.80%),' Erzhuanzi'(22.02%),which was just in accordance with that of the yields among five apricot varieties;while the Hermaphrodite flower rate of different shoots was different,following the next order: spurts,short shoots,medium shoots,long shoots,which suggested that longer shoots existed lower Hermaphrodite rate.2.Fruiting rate of natural and artificial pollination fruiting was significant correlation,both were lower and lower with the length of the extension of shoot in most shoots;fruiting rate of artificial pollination was higher than natural,but the difference was not significant.Hermaphrodite flower rate and the natural setting rate of most apricot varieties were significant correlation,so Hermaphrodite flower rate could reflect the apricot fruiting capacity.3.The regulation of mineral nutrition content of different shoots in the same variety and mineral nutrient content of leaves(late July)in different shoots was consistent,the trend of mineral nutrition content was lower and lower with extending the length of shoot,this regular was consistent with the ruleod Hermaphrodite flower rate in different shoots.4.With bud development stages,N,P,K,B,Fe content increased,but,Ca,Mg,Zn content decreased in different shoots(especially spurts and short shoots);the differences of mineral nutrient content in different shoots was bigger and bigger,especially to the first flowering period,when the most of differences reached to significant level. 5.Hermaphrodite flower rate in different shoots and most mineral nutrition content of its shoot in Red tip was positive correlation,but the kind of mineral was different,which was significant correlation with different apricot varieties.Phosphorus and Hermaphrodite flower rate of 'Chanzhihong' was significant correlation(0.975*),calcium and Hermaphrodite flower rate of 'Jinxidahongxing' was highly significant correlation(0.992**),magnesium and Hermaphrodite flower rate of 'Fayi' was significant correlation(0.984*), boron and Hermaphrodite flower rate of 'Shajinhong'was significant correlation(0.975*).6.Dynamic changes trend of the mineral elements in leaves of different Apricot varieties,most changes of mineral content were conservetive between July 15 and August 15.This period could be as the proper time of sampling leaves in southern LiaoNing.7.According to the results,it was recommended that N,P fertilizer was used more for North China varieties ('Chanzhihong',' Jinxidahongxing')and P,K fertilizer could be used more for Europe varieties('Fayi')before Red Tip,and 'Chanzhihong',' Fayi',' Shajinhong' could be sprayed by B fertilizer and Ca,Mg fertilizer could be used more for all cultivars in flowering stage.
