| The vegetable is an important and essential foodstuff for human, and it supplies a lot of vitamins, minerals, and cellulose that is essential to human health. In the vegetable production and storage, although the usage of chemical products (e.g. pesticide, fertilizer etc.) could be useful to yield and shelf life, the vegetable could be polluted. Now, the production of safety vegetable is an important aim and direction, at the same time, it also is a hotspot in vegetable production.In this paper, the vegetable growing area, yield, production situation in Shaerqin area of Baotou city were analyzed systemically by means of investigating and statistics. The results showed there are follow problems in non-polluted vegetable production: (1) lacking regional characteristic; (2) lacking desirability of non-polluted vegetable production; (3) less investment; (4) poor techniques in production and processing; (5) poor industrial management; (6) poor information system; (7) shortage in vegetable market; (8) lower market share; (9) the pollution of pesticide and fertilizer; (10) disease and pest caused by continuous cropping.Aimed at above problems and vegetable production situation in Shaerqin area of Baotou city, by means of analysis and concluding, the follow countermeasures on non-polluted vegetable production were carried out: (1) emphasis of government on development of vegetable production; (2) land shifted to master-hand in vegetable production; (3) emphasis on demonstration and non-pollution production; (4) enhancing vegetable trading enterprise (5) strengthen on building of farmer's cooperative organization; (6) developing on protected production of vegetable; (7) paying more attention on "green vegetable" production and increasing the market share; (9) using of methane-generating pit and its byproducts. At the same time, the vegetable production techniques suit to Shaerqin area of Baotou city were summarized, e.g. rotating growing, perfect intensity, and disease and pest control etc.
