Sweet potato is widespread planted in China.According to the information that sweet potato leaves are rich in carotene,Vb1,Vc,as well as iron,calcium,magnesium and other mineral elements and so on.Studies show that:sweet potato leaves can promote the creeps of digestive traction,gastrointestinal digestion,as well as the treatment of constipation.They also can promote the excretion of cholesterol,prevent fat deposition of cardiovascular and maintain the flexibility of arteries,protect the digestive tract,respiratory tract,as well as lubrication functions of the articular cavity.Polygonum cuspidatum is widely distributed in central and southern China, Shandong,Henan,Shaanxi,Hubei,Fujian,Taiwan,Yunnan,and so on.It is used to treat fungal infection,skin inflammation,such as cardiovascular and liver diseases in the field of medicaltreatment.Resveratrol is one of the active ingredient of Polygonum cuspidatum.It has the protection of myocardial cells and improve microcirculation, inhibiting platelet aggregation,endotoxic shock resistance,blood fat,anti-lipid peroxidation,antitussive,antiasthmatic,disease-resistant micro-organisms,and also have a variety of pharmacological effects.In this paper,the chemical constituents of sweet potato leaves of Shangqiu Henan and Ankang Polygonum cuspidatum in Shanxi have been studied.By conventional extraction,silicagel normal phase chromatography and thin-layer chromatography technical means.Twenty kinds of compounds were isolated from the two species.By using UV absorption spectrum,infrared absorption spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy method and means,combined with a certain degree of chemical methods,the determination of physical constants,as well as standard control,in which,fifteen kinds of compounds were identified.Six kinds of compounds were isolated from Petroleum ether extraction of Sweet potato leaves.in which,five kinds of compounds were identified by chemical and spectral methods,they are tetracosane,(â… ),myristic acid,(â…¡),P-sitosterol,(â…¢), P-carotene(â…£),daucosterol(â…¤);and two kinds of compounds were isolated from Ethyl acetate extraction of Sweet potato leaves.in which,one kind of compounds was identified by chemical and spectral methods,it is quercetin(â…¥).In which,some of these compounds were isolated from this kind of the sweet potato leaves for the first time.Seven kinds of compounds were isolated from the Petroleum ether extraction of Polygonum cuspidatum,in which,six kinds of compounds were identified by chemical and spectral methods,they are tetracosane,(â… ),myristic acid, (â…¡),P-sitosterol,(â…¢),stigmasterol,(â…£)oleanolic acid,(â…¤)and p-carotene(â…¥); five kinds of compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate extraction,in which, three kinds of the chemical structure of compounds were identified by using chemical and spectroscopic methods,they are,luteolin(â…¦),quercetin(â…§),Resveratrol(â…¨), some of these compounds were isolated from this kind of plant for the first time.In addition,in this article,the chemical constituents of bacteriostasis of Polygonum cuspidatum and sweet potato leaves were tracked and selected;finally founded that quercetin in sweet potato leaves and resveratrol,oleanolic acid in polygonum cuspidatum all have better bacteriostasis.
