Investigation And Study On Resources, Design Of Ornamental Grasses And Its Prospect In Landscape

Ornamental grasses have become a kind of more and more popular ornamental materials.In abroad,which are widely used in landscape design and roadside afforest.As few acquaintances or applications on ornamental grasses in China have been done,the potential application values of the plants were discussed in the paper.The main content of the paper is divided into three parts.By studying on the resources of the wild ornamental grasses and the breeds of cultivated ornamental grasses of north and east China,the first part summarized the breeds of cultivated ornamental grasses which can be applied to two of these districts generally.The second part analyzed the present application of ornamental grasses in different types of green spaces in Beijing,Shanghai and Hangzhou,and pointed out the problems involved in the application of ornamental grasses in the different types of green space.The final part induced the principles of design and the different application forms of ornamental grasses in landscape,suggested that ornamental grasses would show a wide development prospect in different types of green space.It will be theoretical benefit to the extensive apply for ornamental grasses in landscape.The innovation and significance of the study are presented as follows:1 The paper investigated the wild ornamental grasses and the breeds of cultivated ornamental grasses of North and East China on the spot,studied the introduction,cultivation and application in some scientific study units,and made suggestions in landscape design.2 Through analyzing the result of investigation about the ornamental grasses which can be used in the different types of green spaces,the paper concluded different application types of ornamental grasses in landscape,and pointed out the types of green space in which ornamental grasses application is more promising.
