The present study carried out case history examination,clinical examination,blood cytoscopy,determination of the E2 and P4 for 33 cases canine pyometra.Then aeromicrobe cultivation,biochemistry appreciation and drug sensitivity test to intrauterine contents of morbid dogs were executed.Animal model of canine pyometra was established by means of injection excitatory autacoid,microbionation and embed silk suture.The result showed as follow:1 This disease always happened in sexual season.Bitch over the age of 6 easily took the disease.It was easier for those who was nulli-copulation or given exogenous excitatory autacoid to subject the disease.2 The general average of WBC on the dogs with the disease was 45.7×109(cells·L-1),the mean rate of neutrophilic granulocyte was 80.3%.the general average of RBC was 5.3×1012 (cells·L-1).3 General average of P4 was 0.22±0.06(ng·mL-1)in the serum,and the general average of the E2 was 2.72±0.03(pg·mL-1)in the plasma.Concentration of P4 in the serum was higher than normal status(p<0.05).Concentration of E2 in the plasma was similar with normal status (p>0.05).4 Predominant pathogen was E.coli,which accounted for 72.7%.The second were staphylococcus aureus accounting for 12.1%.The third wasβ-hemolytic streptococcus accounting for 12.1%.5 E.coli sensitive strain was 50%to ampicillin and 54.3%to ambramycin,Staphylococcus aureus sensitive strain to oxacillin,penicilin G and clindamycin was 25%respectively.β-hemolytic streptococcus sensitive strain to erythromycin was 50%.In a word,furan and quinolones possessed high sensitiveness to three main pathogenic bacteria,which could be the first drug to treat pyometrium on clinic.6 Incidence of pyometrium was zero through injection of E2.The incidence was 28.6% through injection of P4.The incidence was 57.1%though using of E2 and P4 at the same time.The incidence was 85.7%through using of E2,P4 and microbionation.The incidence was 42.9% through embeding silk suture.
