Disease Analysis Of35Cases Of Canine Pyometra

Canine pyometra is a disease which the uterus contains large amounts of festeredfluids,as well as the endometrium abnormally proliferating and bacteria infections. Dependedon whether the cervix of the uterus is opened or not,the disease is devided into two types ofclosed and opened.It has a high incidence,is harmful to the industry of feeding dogs.So,it isnecessary to find the reasons,the characteristics,the diagnosis,the prophylaxis and treatment ofthis disease.This paper summarises the reasons,the characteristics,the diagnosis,theprophylaxis and treatment of this disease,and analyzing35cases of canine pyometra whichhave been cured in animal hospital of Xi’an affiliated with Northwest A&F university.Theanalysis is on aspects of breeds,age,types and degrees of sickness,as well as blood indices.It shows that canine pyometra happens in kinds of breeds,especially in breeds of Jingbaand Xishi.Excluding abortion, pseudopregnancy,pregnancy which are the reasons for the adultbitches to get acute pyometra,the disease often happens in old bitches.Over weighing mayincrease the probabilities of having pyometra,for patients bitches of Jingba and Jiwawamostly is over weighing. The Ⅱtype of closed canine pyometra is not serious, the Ⅳ type ofthat is most serious.Opened canine pyometra belongs to Ⅱor Ⅲ type,it is acute andserious.Most patients bitches have fever,the amounts of neutrophile granulocyte and whiteblood cells are remarkably increasing.In serious cases,the concentration of alkalinephosphatase is above the normal,while the concentration of calcium in blood is lower thannormal.So,the concentration of alkaline phosphatase and the concentration of calcium inblood somehow show the sickness of canine pyometra.
