An all-round analysis of the result of Gushi Goose's Breed Resources Survey was made. And eleven microsatellite loci were selected and amplified using PCR technique for the study on polymorphism of gene, correlation of body size and microsatellite DNA markers, and multiple comparisons of body size of individual with different genotypes in each microsatellite locus. The result of Breed Resources Survey showed that Gushi is the central area of Gushi Goose whose number is 4.92 millions (occupied 61.12% of total) and increase year after year. Body shape and appearance did not change significantly. Whereas the indexes were improved significantly, for example body size, geese and reproduction. Gushi Goose was protected and utilized well. The analyzed result of gene's polymorphism showed that eight were polymorphic among eleven microsatellite loci and the others were singlet state. The average number of alleles detected by a pair of primers was 4.25(3~6) and the average value of population heterzygosity was 0.5845(0.273~0.719)and the polymorphism information conten(tPIC)was 0.6345(0.530~0.769) and average effective number of alleles was 3.3447(2.383~4.984) in the eight loci。The result of correlation analysis of body size and microsatellite DNA markers indicated that four loci WD136,WD206,CKW21,TTUCG1 were significantly correlated to body weight and body size. The four loci has a significant difference in body weight . The WD136 locus has a significant difference in body length and pelvis width. The WD206 locus has a significant difference in chest width, sternum length, shank length ,half-diving length and neck length. The CKW21 locus has a significant difference in sternum length, chest depth, shank length ,half-diving length and neck length. The TTUCG1 locus has a significant difference in body length, shank length and sternum length. The result of multiple comparisons of body weight and size of individual with different genotypes in each microsatellite locus indicated that body weight, body length and pelvis width of AB type of the WD136 exceeded these of AA type significantly (P<0.05),;body weight, chest width, sternum length, of EE type of the WD206 excelled these of AA and AC type significantly (P<0.05); half-diving length of CC type of the CKW21 is longer than that of AC type significantly (P<0.05);body weight and body length of AA type of the TTUCG1 is better than these of BD type significantly (P<0.05) and shank length and sternum length of AD of the TTUCG1 is longer than these of BC type significantly (P<0.05). These genotypes would be expected to be assistant locus for early selection of body weight and sizes.
