Objective: To observe the clinical effect of salvia miltiorrhize on spinal cord injury and the prospect of salvia miltiorrhize's clinical apply.Methods: sixty-four patients of SCI were strictly selected and devided into two group in the order of admittance to hospital at random. The patients of contral group were treated with routine therapy that includes operation or manual redution and hormore. dehydration durg. The patients of treatment group were treated with salvia miltiorrhize injection on the basis of routine therapy The two groups were evaluated by spinal cord function before and after treatment. and accounted for percent 62. 8.The treatment of nine patients in contral group was of no avail and accounted for percent 37. 2, Twenty-eight patients of treatment group took effent after treatment and accounted for percent 71. 7, eleven were of no avail and accounted for percert 28. 3.It was obvious difference between 2 groups (P<0. 05) .Conclusions: The salvia miltiorrhize can delay or mitigate the secondary spinal cord injury.
