Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat. is a plant of Compositae and used as a Traditional Chinese Medicine. It can clear up heat from the liver to improve acuity of vision, expell pathogenic wind-heat, clear away heat and detoxicating. According to many researchs, the plant can treat coronary heart disease and hypertension in clinical application. In order to develop and apply of this plant, we made studying.Eight compounds were isolated from flower of Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat.. Their structures were identified on the basis of UV, IR, NMR, MS, .physicochemical properties and literature data. They were : Chrysoeriol(l), Apigenin(2), Luteolin(3), Quercetin(4), Chrysoeriol-7-O- #-D-glucoside(5), Apigenin-7-O- #-D-glucoside(6), Luteolin-7-O- #-D-glucoside(7), Tilianin-7-O- # -D-glucoside(8). All the compounds were obtained from this plant for the first time.The quality criterion were established by HPLC and UV spectrum. Mophology and several chemical constituents of Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat. form eight different origins were carried out.HPLC-FPS analysis of different sources of Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat. were developed.At last, the preparation technology and the quality criterion tests of preparation were established.These results can be served as basement for the further study of Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat. They also afford reliable experimental basis for the application of HPLC in quality control of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
