Objective: (1)To obtain the prevalence of HIV, HBV, HCV and syphilis infection among parts of high risk population . (2)To understand the knowledge about AIDS among parts of high risk groups and college students in order to provide evidence for next health education and behavior intervention.Method: (1)To collect the serums of four types of high risk groups with sentry surveillance method and to carry through questionnaire among them. (2)To finish KAP questionnaire about AIDS with randomized cluster stampling among college students. Results: (1)The HIV prevalence rate among drug users is 0. 44%. The hepatitis C prevalence rate among drug users is 83.87%, it is siginificantly higher than blood-sponsors(5. 86%), STD clinic out-patients(2. 26%)and pregnant women (1. 11%). The syphilis prevalence rate among STD clinic out-patients and drug users were higher than pregnant women and blood-sponsors. The results of Logistic regression indicate sex (OR=4. 929, 95%CI: 1. 862-13. 047), age (OR=1.981, 95%CI:1.335-2. 940) and sexual partners(OR=5. 323, 95%CI: 2.946-9.618) are main dangerous factors of syphilis infection. (2)61. 62% of interviewers have a good knowledge about AIDS (syntheses scores>10). Although thecorrect answer rate of the three main transmitting paths of AIDS is higher , the correct answer rate of the possibility of transmitting by mosquito bite and by using washrag together with AIDS patients is lower among high risk groups . (3)The correct answer rate of the three main transmitting paths of AIDS were over 90% among college students. However , The correct answer rate of the possibility of transmission by mosquito bite and the possibility to prevent AIDS by injiected heroin without shared needles were rather low (40. 5-58. 7%) . The correct answer rate of females were significantly lower than that of males(P<0. 05). In this study , there are 75 college students to reply that they have had sex behavior , accounting for 10. 23%. there are good-sized proportion of 75 college students to have multiple sex partner including sex worker and not to use condom with their partners or sex workers .Conclusion : (1) the prevalence rate of syphilis among STD clinic out-patients and drug users is very high and the prevalence rate of hepatitis C among drug users and blood-sponsors is also high. There is evidence indicates AIDS is probable to spread among drug users, and there exist risk factors of the transmission of HIV amaong those high risk groups as well as. So the efficient interventions must be taken to prevent the transmission of HIV. (2)Four types of high risk groups and college students still do not have enough knowledge on AIDS . There exist many dangerous factors resulting in AIDS among high risk group and college students, so, More health education and efficient interventions should be given to them by kinds of means .
