[ Objective ] To investigate the effects of Wumei Wan on blood lymphocyte transformation rate(LTR) and NO content in colitic mucosa tissue in Ulcerative Colitis Model Rats.[ Methods ] The model of Ulcerative Colitis rats was formed with method of xenogenic (rabbit) colitic mucosa immunity and stimulus on colitic region. Ulcerative Colitis rats were randomly divided into treatment group of traditional Chinese drug (TCD) , control group of western medicine (WM) , model control group , normal control group. After model rats were replicated successfully, the TCD rats were drenched with Wumei Wan decoction in treatment, and the WM rats were drenched with salazosulfapyridine (SASP) . Lavage treatment would last 15 days. Each group rats were breeded in same normal conditions. We would investigate the effects of Wumei Wan on blood lymphocyte transformation rate(LTR) and NO content in colitic mucosa tissue in Ulcerative Colitis Model Rats.[ Results ] (1) Blood LTR of model control group as compared with normal group were significantly decreased and the level of NO were significantly increased (P<0.01) . (2)After treatment, BloodLTR of TCD group as compared with model group were significantly increased and the level of NO were significantly decreased (P<0.05) . (3) After treatment, Blood LTR of WM group as compared with model group were significantly increased ( P<0.01 ) and the level of NO were significantly decreased (P<0.05) . (4) The two indicatrix comparison of TCD with WM has not significant difference (P>0.05).[ Conclusion ] Wumei Wan can increase blood lymphocyte transformation rate(LTR) and decrease NO content in colitic mucosa tissue in Ulcerative Colitis Model Rats.
