Objective: To investigate the expression of oncogene STK15 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, to find out the correlation of STK15 and laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: SP immunohistochemical method was used to determine the expression of STK15 in 40 cases of LSCC and 30 cases of vocal cord polyp.Result: The positive rate of STK15 in LCSS and vocal cord polyp were 67. 5% (27/40) 33. 3% (10/30), the differences were significant statistically (P<0.05) . Overexpression of STK15 was related to the tumor grade and lymphatic metastasis (P<0. 05) , and there was no relativity between the pathology grade, primary site of LSCC, the patients' gender, the patients' age and the expression of STK15, and the degree of Overexpression of STK15 was related to the tumor grade (P<0. 05) .Conclusion: STK15 may play an important role in the pathway of carcinogenesis and progression of LSCC and it may be identified as a new therapeutic target.
