Clinical Study On The Effect Of Secrum Insulin And Blood-lipid With Catgut Implantation At Acupoit On Treating Simple Obesity

Objective: The study was to observe the effect of catgut implantation at acupoint on treating simple obesity and discuss the therapitic mechanism.Methods:57 cases were divided randomly into two groups: the observed group(31cases) with catgut implantation and the control group(26cases) with acupuncture. Two groups selected the same points. Catgut implantation was given once a week, acupuncture was given 6 a week, 4 weeks would all be one course. Two courses were observed.Results: After treatments two groups had meliorated the patients' symptoms, decreased the bodyweight, BMI, the waist, the haunch, WHR, the level of FINS and blood lipid; and improved IAI. The two groups have the same effect.Conclusions: Catgut implantation at acupoint can improve the sensitivity of insulin, relieve IR, and correct the metabolism of glucose and lipid, then lose weight healthily.
