Objective : To observe the effects of the granula of penetrating bone and removing pain onintervention of osteoarthritis and investigate the effects of mechanism from some aspects, such as: cartilage cytokine, oxygen free radical, the changes of macroscopy and microstructure in arthrodial cartilage.Method : The healthy rabbits of new Zealand aged 6 six months, half male and half female, were randomly divided into two large groups, i.e: the normal group and the operation group. According to the improved operational method of Hulth, we had operated the animals which belong to the operation group. Then they were randomly divided into five small groups, i.e. the model group, the ZhuangGuGuanJieWan group (the control group),low-dose group (GroupⅠ), midst-dose group (Group Ⅱ) and high-dose group (Group Ⅲ). The animals which wereoperated were forced to locomote half an hour after they were fed adaptatively a week ago. In order to achieve the effect of intervention of osteoarthritis during the course, all animals were enforced intragastric administration of equivalent dose with the water-solution of the granula of penetrating bone and removing pain, the water-solution of the ZhuangGuGuanJieWan andthe isotonic Na chloride. 8 weeks later, we need to detect the indicatrix as IL-6, TNF-α from the synovial fluid and the indicatrix as MDA from the blood of all animal in every group. 16 weeks later, we again need to detect the indicatrix as IL-6, TNF-afrom the synovial fluid, theindicatrix as MDA from the blood and the activity of SOD from the synovium of joint. At the same time, we get to observe the histomorphology with the Computed Radiography (CR) plain film, the light microscope and the transmission electron microscope (TEM).
