VB₁₂ Nutritional Status In Children Aged 2～7 And Oral Therapies In Children With VB₁₂ Deficiency

PART ONE VB₁₂ NUTRITIONAL STATUS AND RELATED FACTORS IN CHILDREN AGED 2～7【Objective】To explore the levels of serum vitamin B₁₂ (VB₁₂) in children aged 2～7; determine the relationship between the levels of serum VB₁₂ and anemia; investigate the level of intellectual functioning in the children with VB₁₂ deficiency; and analyze the effects of several factors related to the level of serum VB₁₂.【Methods】From March 2005 to July 2005, the weight, height and complete blood count (CBC) were studied in 351 children aged 2 to 7 years from 4 kindergartens of Chongqing. The dietary survey,the concentrations of serum VB₁₂ and the urine load test of 177 of the children were evaluated. The concentrations of serum VB₁₂ were assayed by Chemiluminoimmuno Assay (CLIA). The urinary VB₁,VB₂,VC were measured by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
