Objective:To study the mechanism of scalp penetration acupuncture on the neuronal plasticity in rats after acute cerebral infarction. Methods:The model of focal cerebral ischemia was made by blocking the middle cerebral artery with monofilament in rats. The middle cerebral artery occlusion rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: normal control group (group A),model group (group B),point-to-point acupuncture group(group C), The pathological change in rat brain was observed with optical microscope. The expression of microtubule-associated protein 2 was observed at 7d,14d,28d after the lesion with immunohistochemistry method. The expression of neurofilaments protein 200mRNA was observed at 7d, 14d, 28d after the lesion with reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction method. Results:Compared with group B, the difference of the assessment of nervous function was significant among B and group C at 7d,14d and 28d(P<0.05);Compared with group B, the expression of MAP-2 in the ischemic penumbra was significant among B and group C at 7d,14d and 28d(P<0.05);Compared with group B,the expression of NF200mRNA was significant among B and group C at 7d,14d and 28d(P<0.05).Conclusions:The research proved that the therapy of scalp penetration acupuncture can increase the expression of MAP-2 , promote the expression of NF200mRNA, by protecting neurons, increasing nervous function and irregulating neuronal plasticity , the therapy promoted the rehabilitation of paralytic limb.
