Applying EIivision immunohistochemical technique to perform examination and SPSS statistical software to calculate the value ofχ~2 and Spearman's correlation coefficient.Result: The positive percentage of survivin,bcl-2 and PTEN was 47.76%,44.78%,52.24% in 67 cases of human astrocytomas respectively. The expression of survivin,bcl-2 was negative in 10 cases of normal brain tissue, but PTEN was positive in them. Fisher's Exact Test:there was significant difference of survivin,bcl-2 and PTEN expression among the different grades. There was significant difference of the survivin,bcl-2 and PTEN expression between lower grade (I~II) and higher grade (III~IV)(P<0.01),the value ofχ~2 was 15.575,11.236,11.678 respectively. Along with the pathological grade increasing of human astrocytomas , the positive percentage and expressive intensity of survivin,bcl-2 increased gradually, but PTEN decreased gradually. There was positive correlation between the expression of survivin and bcl-2 in human astrocytomas, but negative correlation was found between the expression of survivin and PTEN,bcl-2 and PTEN.Conclusions: 1. The high expression of survivin and bcl-2 and the relative low expression of PTEN correlated with the occurrence and development of human astrocytomas; 2.The expression of survivin,bcl-2 and PTEN correlated with the pathological grade and malignant degree; 3.The reactivation of survivin and bcl-2 and mutation or loss of PTEN aren't isolated events. There might be some cooperation among them; 4.The contribution of survivin,bcl-2 and PTEN in human astrocytomas offer some theoretical informations for the research of clinical neotype molecule target pharmacal therapy. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | astrocytoma, survivin, bcl-2, PTEN, immunohistochemistry | | Related items |
