Clinical Study Of Early Diabetic Nephropathy Treated By "Ascending The Clear And Descending The Turbid, Invigorating Spleen To Nourish Qi" Of TCM

Background:Diabetic Nephropathy (DN) is a kind of Diabetes Mellitus (DM), caused by a series of disorganized metabolism and blood dynamic changes which are induced by chronic high blood sugar. Once the patients of DN are with continuous urinary protein, the state of their illness is seldom recovered .So it is very important to treat incipient DN by an ative and effextive method and control the state of DN. The aetiology and pathogenesis of DN in Western medicine is poorly understood, and there is no significant breakthrough on therapy. Recently, treatment of DN with Traditional Chinese Medicine has got some improvement. My teacher submitted "deficiency-weakness of spleen-QI" with many year' s clinical practice of treating DN.Purpose: to observe the curative and safety of drug which treated Diabetic Nephropathy by ascending the clear and descending the turbid, invigorating spleen to nourish qi.Approach: fifty incipient the early DN patients with symptom and sign of deficiency-weakness of spleen-Qi, were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in the treatment group (26) take the drug drug which treated by ascending the clear and descending the turbid, invigorating spleen to nourish qi on the basis of basic therapy. While the patients in the comparision group(24) are just treated with basic therapy. After 14 days ,we compare the differences between groups, including the symptoms and relevant clinical parameters;and study the data with statistical analyses.Result:1.The total clinical effective rate of treatment, 92. 31%, which is better than that of comparison group with statistical (P<0. 05). 2. The effective rate of treatment group in the symptom signs , 88. 7%, which is much better than that of comparison group with statistical .(P<0. 05). Moreover , it can decrease the levels of Urinary albymin excretion rate (UAER), cystatin C, Blood lipid , and all of above were more significantly enhanced compared with western medicine control group (P<0.05).Conclusions:The clinical study indicated that drug which treated Diabetic Nephropathy by ascending the clear and descending the turbid, invigorating spleen to nourish qi is remedy for early DN, and worthful for further research.
