Objective: To investigate the experimental research effect on intraconazole single treatment and combination with IFN-γon miceinfected with Candida albicans, to assess the efficacy of different treatment, thus provide experimental study for clinical treatment of systemic Candida albicans infections. Methods: 60 infected mice were randomly divided into five groups, 12 mice, group A was set as control group, only injected the tail with 2×107/mL Candida albicans suspension 0.5 mL. Experimental Group B: given 10.0 mg / kg itraconazole; Experimental Group C: given 10.0 mg / kg itraconazole and 105 Uγ-interferon; Experimental Group D: given 50.0 mg / kg itraconazole; Experimental Group E: given 50.0 mg / kg itraconazole and 105 Uγ-interferon.Different treatment were given one hour after the beginning of infection, itraconazole was injected from tail vein, once daily for 7 days according to body weight.IFN-γ105 U was injected intramuscular, once a day for three consecutive days. Observe mice survival condition in following seven days, at same time dissecting, obtaining sample, colony counting , tissue biopsy and smear observation were done, to investigate the effective treatment methods. Results: 1.Itraconazole 10.0 mg / kg and 105 Uγ-interferon in the treatment of systemic Candida albicans infection showed a marked synergies therapeutic effect; 2. On principle, 50.0 mg / kg itraconazole alone also has a good effective anti-candida albicans. Conclusion: Combination of itraconazole 10.0 mg / kg and 105 Uγ-interferon showed an effective treatment on systemic candida albicans infection in animal models with relative low price, less dose, and significant effect advantages ; compared to single antifungal treatment, the large dose 50.0 mg / kg itraconazole used alone is also effective in treating systemic candida albicans infection in animal models, but at present its limited by large dose toxicity, drug tolerance and resistance.
